A high-level conference focused on enhancing emergency communication and early warning systems was recently held in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The event brought together key stakeholders from disaster management authorities, communication agencies, and technical experts to discuss strategies for improving preparedness and response mechanisms in the region.
Organized by the District Administration of South Andaman in collaboration with national disaster management bodies, the conference aimed to address the unique challenges faced by island territories in disaster risk reduction.
