Bridgestone India has announced the winners of the 5th edition of its Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA), recognizing organizations that have used mobility as a tool for social transformation. The awards ceremony was held in Pune and honored changemakers working in areas such as disability inclusion and road safety.
In the category of Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities, the winner was The Association of People with Disability (APD), Bengaluru, for its “Rehab on Wheels” initiative. This mobile rehabilitation program delivers services to persons with disabilities and has impacted over one million lives.
In the Road Safety Innovation and Excellence category, the jury commendation went to Safety Research Foundation (SRF), which operates in Bengaluru and Maharashtra. Their project “BRACE” focuses on transforming school zones through audits, infrastructure upgrades, awareness campaigns, and community engagement.
The winners were felicitated by Dr. Girish Kulkarni, founder of Snehalaya. Hiroshi Yoshizane, Group President of Bridgestone Asia Pacific and Managing Director of Bridgestone India, praised the awardees for redefining mobility for social good. A total of ₹40 lakh was awarded to support the winning initiatives.
The MSIA program is part of Bridgestone India’s broader CSR strategy to promote inclusive, safe, and sustainable mobility across the country.
