Blast in Murshidabad Leaves Three Injured, Sparks Panic in Bengal

A powerful explosion in the Khayertala village of Murshidabad district has resulted in the deaths of three individuals, sending shockwaves through the region. Initial investigations suggest the blast may have been caused by the accidental detonation of crude bombs being manufactured within a residential property.

The incident occurred late Sunday night, causing significant damage to the house where the explosion originated. The force of the blast was so intense that the building’s roof collapsed, leaving a scene of devastation. The deceased have been identified as Mustakin Sheikh, Mamun Mollah, and Sakirul Sarkar. Reports indicate that Mamun Mollah was the resident of the house where the explosion occurred.

Authorities suspect that the explosion resulted from the manufacturing of crude bombs within the residence. Reports also indicate that there is suspicion that the individuals involved were also involved in smuggling. The explosion caused substantial structural damage, with the house’s roof collapsing. The incident has triggered widespread panic and concern among local residents.

Police have launched a thorough investigation into the incident. A bomb squad is also involved in examining the site to determine the precise nature of the explosives. Police have recovered rope and a white powder from the scene, and are continuing to investigate.

The incident has raised concerns about the presence of illegal bomb-making activities in the region, particularly given Murshidabad’s proximity to the India-Bangladesh border. Authorities are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the blast and to prevent any future occurrences.
