Today, the trailer for Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, was released. The film marks the Bollywood debut of filmmaker A Harsha, who is well-known for his work with Shiva Rajkumar and the late Puneet Rajkumar. The gruesome nature of the trailer has already garnered attention. It was marked as “inappropriate for some users” by YouTube due to its graphic content. As a lover-turned-avenger, Tiger Shroff is shown in the teaser searching for the culprit who killed his girlfriend, played by Harnaaz Sandhu. He is depicted in flashbacks as a Navy officer, but his partner’s tragic death drives him to seek vengeance in a brutal manner. Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, and Saurabh Sachdeva are featured in the cast. A computer-generated tiger escorts the main adversary, played by Sanjay Dutt, who lives in a castle and amputates fingers.
The trailer alerts viewers with a “Restricted Violence” logo shortly after YouTube’s warning. After that, it switches to Tiger Shroff making his dramatic entrance while brandishing a butcher knife. “I have seen countless stories of love, but I have never in my life seen such an action-packed love story,” a narrator says. Romeo, Majnu, and Ranjha have been let down by a Baaghi (rebel). “Have you lost your mind?” a character asks him in one scene. He responds by saying, “Not my mind, but heart.” A psychological surprise is then hinted at in the teaser. As stated by the character of Shreyas Talpade, “Alisha (played by Harnaaz Sandhu) just exists in his mind.” This implies that the protagonist’s narrative can be based on imagined trauma and illusions.
