Atal Foundation honors Andaman & Nicobar Icons Samman Samaroh

Three trailblazers from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands were honored at the Atal Foundation Samman Samaroh for their exceptional contributions to society, marking a landmark milestone for the area. Held in the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya in New Delhi, the esteemed occasion honored excellence in sustainable development, social welfare, and cultural preservation. The prestigious Atal Bhushan Award was given to Mr. Casper James, a devoted Tehsildar, in recognition of his innovative effort in Historical Tribal Social Networking.

Through creative and inclusive projects, his efforts have improved social harmony and given indigenous groups more authority. Mr. K. Ramdas, State General Secretary of the BJP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, was another honored winner of the Atal Bhushan Award. Mr. Ramdas Ji was acknowledged for his steadfast dedication to social welfare and was instrumental in reviving the seashell handicrafts sector, empowering craftspeople, and conserving cultural heritage. Experience Andamans founder Mr. Awez Khan received the Atal Gaurav Samman Award.

His inspiring leadership has revolutionized the tourism industry in the area, generating sustainable tourism practices and innumerable job opportunities. The Atal Foundation-ANI’s State President, Mr. Azizur Rahman, conveyed his sincere appreciation to the National President, Ms. Aparna Singh, and the Atal Foundation’s Chief Patron, Mr. Shyam Jaju. Mr. Rahman congratulated the recipients and commended them for their commitment to their disciplines. Setting a standard for excellence in social welfare, community empowerment, and sustainable development, the awards highlight the Andaman & Nicobar Islands’ increasing contributions to nation-building.
