Assam Government gets contempt notice from Supreme Court

Assam Government gets contempt notice from Supreme court for violating court orders.

According to the sources, a petition was filed by 47 residence to the top court on demolition taken by the government, to which orders were issued no bulldozer action will taken until petition gets resolved.

The incident took place on Kachutoli Pathar village, surrounding areas in Assam’s Kamrup district. The petitioners has argued that they are not illegal occupants, they lived there with proper agreement of the original land holders.
