Arjun Kapoor says losing a loved one is his biggest fear: ‘I have lost a lot in life’

In an exclusive interview, Arjun Kapoor spoke about his fears, the last 12 years in showbiz and his upcoming projects.
Actor Arjun Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of his latest film Singham Again. His performance as the villain in the Rohit Shetty directorial was well received by the audience as well as critics.
This success has not only made Arjun more humble than ever but has also empowered him quite a bit. In an exclusive conversation with Screen, the actor shared that even though he is fearless, there is one fear he doesn’t want to face again and that is losing a loved one.
Arjun said, “Everyone has their fears. For me, it would be losing loved ones. I have lost a lot in life, so I would not want to lose more. This also shows in my behaviour from time to time. Otherwise, I am quite fearless, and it is because of being empowered with this opportunity that I have made the most of it.” Arjun Kapoor also spoke about how the last 12 years in showbiz have changed him.
The actor said, “You keep evolving constantly as an actor. Sometimes you let go of things that you used to hold on to. Age teaches you a lot about your profession. Patience is needed and you make better choices for your own wisdom. 12 years have helped me become a better actor. I have done both good and bad work and that has helped me become better.”
He further added, “This profession is very tough. I think I have become a little more detached now. I don’t get as emotional as I used to. I have become that in the last few years, which is better. I am more calm and patient than before. I don’t regret anything.
But I would tell my younger self that you don’t have to join the rat race and just work for it. You can take care of yourself, nurture yourself, enjoy life a little more and cherish those moments.
I just kept working because at that time I didn’t know any better.” After the success of Singham Again, Arjun Kapoor is in no hurry to sign projects.
“I have not signed any specific project. I want to do all kinds of roles. Now after Singham Again, I hope more unique characters come my way. I don’t want to play just simple, straightforward characters. So I am waiting to get the right kind of roles soon.”
