Anurag Thakur Warns Pakistan of Consequences Over Anti-India Activities

Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur has issued a strong warning to Pakistan, stating that if it continues its anti-India operations, it could face severe repercussions on the global stage. His remarks come amid heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed multiple lives.

Speaking at a district-level rally in Hamirpur, Thakur accused Pakistan of fomenting trouble along the borders and warned that if Islamabad continued its anti-India activities, it would be wiped out from the world polity. He emphasized that the Indian government would respond decisively at the right time.

In response to the Pahalgam attack, BJP leaders in Shimla submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, urging authorities to identify and repatriate Pakistani nationals living in the state, both legally and illegally. The BJP also organised protest marches across 17 locations, including Kullu, Una, Lahaul, and Spiti, raising anti-Pakistan slogans.

Thakur highlighted that the Narendra Modi government has taken several diplomatic steps against Pakistan, including the decision to send back Pakistani citizens residing in India. He criticized the Congress-led Himachal Pradesh government, alleging that it was not serious about identifying and deporting Pakistani nationals.

Thakur also accused Congress leaders of making irrelevant statements, despite the party’s support for banning various facilities to Pakistan. The BJP has vowed to intensify its protests if the state government does not take immediate action.
