Andaman Law College (ALC) recently organized a series of competitions focused on the themes of anti-corruption and youth responsibility, as part of its ongoing commitment to civic engagement and ethical awareness among students. The events were held under the broader framework of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, for which ALC has been designated as a nodal institution by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The competitions included elocution, essay writing, and poster presentations, encouraging participants to explore the role of youth in combating corruption and promoting transparency in governance. Students aged 18 to 25 were invited to register via the My Bharat portal and showcase their ideas on how young citizens can contribute to building a corruption-free India.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) P.V. Nagendra Sarma addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of youth-led initiatives in shaping a progressive and accountable society. He noted that the college’s selection as a nodal center reflects its growing reputation for leadership in legal education and public discourse.
The events saw enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines, with winners to be nominated for the upcoming district round of the Youth Parliament. The programme also served as a platform for students to engage with real-world issues and propose actionable solutions rooted in legal and ethical frameworks.
The initiative aligns with the government’s vision for Viksit Bharat and aims to foster a generation of responsible, informed, and proactive citizens.
