Amazon Opens 12-Story Campus in Bengaluru, Second-Largest Office in Asia

E-commerce major Amazon has inaugurated a new 12-story corporate office in Bengaluru, marking its second-largest campus in Asia after its facility in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.
Spread across 1.1 million square feet, the new campus can accommodate over 7,000 employees working across key verticals such as e-commerce, operations, payments, technology, and seller services. The company said the building has been designed to promote collaboration, flexibility, learning, and employee well-being, reflecting its long-term commitment to India.
Amazon has invested more than $40 billion in India to date and has pledged an additional $35 billion investment by 2030, underlining the country’s strategic importance in its global growth plans.
The new office strengthens Amazon’s already significant footprint in Karnataka. The company operates 10 corporate offices, seven fulfillment centers, three sorting centers, and over 130 last-mile delivery stations in the state. It also runs a network of micro-fulfilment centres for Amazon. Now, it’s a quick-commerce service. More than 80,000 sellers from Karnataka are currently active on the platform.
Located around 15 kilometers from Kempegowda International Airport, the campus was inaugurated by M. B. Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development. He said Amazon’s continued expansion reflects India’s rising stature as a global technology and innovation hub, adding that large-scale investments help generate quality jobs and strengthen the digital economy.
Samir Kumar, Country Manager of Amazon India, highlighted Bengaluru’s central role in the company’s India journey. He noted that the city has long been home to some of Amazon’s earliest technology and business teams and continues to serve as a key innovation hub.
With the new campus, Amazon aims to further expand its workforce, enhance operational capabilities, and support India’s growing digital commerce ecosystem.
