Flipkart leads with over 2.2 lakh seasonal roles and has launched 650 delivery hubs across tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The company said this initiative boosts employment, infrastructure, and tech across 28 states, showcasing an ecosystem-first festive strategy.

Amazon India is also expanding its workforce, adding over 1.5 lakh jobs across fulfilment and sort centres, as well as last-mile delivery in 400+ cities, including major metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. To meet demand, Amazon has opened 12 new fulfilment centres and expanded six, while enhancing sortation capacity in cities like Hubli, Trivandrum, and Moradabad.
