AH&VS in Campbell Bay tackles stray animal population

Campbell Bay’s Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) has started a focused campaign to deal with the region’s increasing problem of stray dogs and cattle. This program is a component of the ongoing Animal Welfare Fortnight, which is a time set aside to advance animal rights, promote animal welfare, and put policies in place to protect animals. The agency successfully castrated five bulls and four canines during a large castration drive in Campbell Bay as part of the campaign. The program seeks to humanely manage the number of stray animals while promoting ethical animal care among locals.
Every year, Animal care Fortnight is marked with an emphasis on developing long-term solutions to problems pertaining to animal care. The actions taken by the Campbell Bay AH&VS department demonstrate a dedication to creating a more secure and caring environment for animals and the neighborhood. The idea has received support from locals who see its value in effectively and morally controlling stray animals. To guarantee the long-term viability of such programs, the department has called on the community to actively participate in upcoming welfare projects.
