Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi and Home Minister Shah will electrify Tripura with a flurry of rallies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are set to invigorate Tripura with their presence, addressing election rallies on April 15 and 17 in preparation for the impending Lok Sabha elections. With two Lok Sabha seats at stake, including West and East (ST) parliamentary constituencies, the electoral battleground in Tripura is gearing up for polling on April 19 and 26. Additionally, the by-election in the 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency is scheduled for April 19.

In an exclusive conversation with India Today NE, Tripura BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, citing a surge in party membership across the state. Chakraborty asserted the BJP’s belief in securing a resounding victory in Tripura, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of triumph in over 400 seats nationwide. Highlighting the party’s concerted efforts, Chakraborty revealed plans for visits by central leadership post-elections. He disclosed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to address a gathering at Kumarghat on April 15, pending final confirmation.

Emphasizing the transformative impact of PM Modi’s leadership over the past six years, Chakraborty hailed the strides in development witnessed by Tripura. He lauded PM Modi’s commitment to all segments of society and expressed anticipation for his address at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on April 17.
