After straying from Kuno National Park, a cheetah is saved
According to a forest department officer, a cheetah that had strayed from the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh was seen in a village in Karauli, Rajasthan, on Saturday. Information on a wild animal in Simara village has been received, according to Piyush Sharma, the deputy conservator of forests for Karauli Wildlife.
It was determined that the animal was a male cheetah. The cheetah traveled about 50 kilometers from the Kuno National Park to the Simara village, stopping along the way in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur and Sabalgarh. According to Piyush Sharma, Simara village in Karauli is located on the banks of the Chambal river, which borders both of these cities.
He stated that after learning about the cheetah, a group of Rajasthani forest department officers and an MP went to the location and captured the animal. This is not an isolated instance, though. A cheetah that had vanished from Sheopur’s Kuno National Park four months prior was discovered in the Baran district’s forest, which is bordered by Rajasthan and MP. In response, the Kuno crew traveled to Baran and used tranquilizers to free the cheetah.
