Adani Green Energy Q1 FY26: Profit Rises 31% as Renewable Capacity Surges to 15.8 GW

Ahmedabad, July 28, 2025 — Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), India’s leading renewable energy company, announced a strong financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, marked by significant growth in profit, revenue, and operational capacity.

The company reported a 31% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 824 crore in Q1 FY26, up from Rs 629 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from power supply rose by 31% to Rs 3,312 crore, while overall total income increased 29% to Rs 4,006 crore.

A key highlight of this quarter was the company’s expansion in renewable energy capacity. AGEL’s operational renewable capacity surged 45% year-on-year to 15.8 gigawatts (GW), supported by a greenfield addition of 1.6 GW during the quarter. Over the past year, the firm added a total of 4.9 GW renewable capacity, making it the largest single-year increase in India’s renewable energy sector.

Energy sales also jumped 42% YoY to 10,479 million units in Q1 FY26, surpassing the annual energy sales levels of three years ago (FY22).

The company’s EBITDA grew by 31% to Rs 3,108 crore, with an industry-leading margin of 92.8%. Cash profit surged 25% year-on-year, reaching Rs 1,744 crore.

Mr. Ashish Khanna, CEO of Adani Green Energy, stated, “Our investments in key resource-rich sites such as Khavda in Gujarat and Rajasthan are yielding superior operational performance and industry-best EBITDA margins. We are on track to achieve our 2030 target of 50 GW renewable energy capacity, including at least 5 GW hydro pumped storage and battery storage, which is a critical component of our future strategy.”

Following the Q1 results announcement, Adani Green’s shares rose over 3%, closing at around Rs 1,007 on the BSE.

The company’s robust quarterly results underscore its leadership in India’s energy transition and its commitment to expanding clean energy infrastructure rapidly while maintaining strong financial health.

This performance positions Adani Green Energy as a key player supporting India’s national energy security and sustainability goals.
