Adani Energy Q1FY26 Results: Swings to ₹539 Crore Profit, Driven by Transmission Gains

New Delhi, July 24, 2025 — Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹538.94 crore for the first quarter of FY26, marking a sharp turnaround from a net loss of ₹1,190.66 crore in the same period last year.

The recovery was primarily attributed to robust performance in the transmission segment, which saw revenue rise to ₹2,188.19 crore from ₹1,746.18 crore YoY. Total income for the quarter surged to ₹7,025.49 crore, up from ₹5,489.97 crore in Q1FY25, reflecting a 28% increase.

Revenue from operations grew 26.8% YoY to ₹6,819 crore, while EBITDA rose 3% to ₹2,315 crore. However, margins narrowed to 33.9% from 41.7% in the previous year. Distribution business revenue dipped slightly to ₹3,359.84 crore from ₹3,372.94 crore.

The previous year’s loss was largely due to exceptional items amounting to ₹1,506 crore. CEO Kandarp Patel noted that AESL anticipates a significant uptick in capex rollout and bidding activity from Q2 onwards, as monsoon conditions ease.

This performance underscores AESL’s strategic focus on transmission infrastructure and signals renewed investor confidence following last year’s setback.
