Aamir Khan, who has a good fan following in China, recently visited China to attend the Macau Comedy Festival.
While interacting with one of his fan clubs in China, the actor shared many important details about his upcoming film Sitare Zameen Par. Aamir revealed that Sitare Zameen Par is a remake of a Spanish film Champions, in which he is playing the role of a ‘very rude’ basketball coach.
During the conversation Aamir said, “Taare Zameen Par is almost ready. It is the sequel of Taare Zameen Par. It is ten steps ahead in terms of content. It is about people who are disabled. It is about love, friendship and life. Taare Zameen Par made you cry but this film will make you laugh.
It is a comedy but the theme is the same.” Talking about his character Aamir Khan said, “My character Nikumbh in Taare Zameen Par was a very sensitive person. In this film my character’s name is Gulshan but his personality is completely opposite to Nikumbh.
He is very rude, politically incorrect and he insults everyone. He fights with his wife and mother. He is a basketball coach and he beats up his senior coach. He is a person who has a lot of internal problems.” He said, “The story is about how he changes.
How ten people, some of whom have Down syndrome, autism, different abilities, teach him what it is to be a good human being. Basically it is a Spanish film and we have made an Indian version of it.” Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role.
